I am a teenager with an excessive sweating problem. It is extremely embarrassing and I there are hardly any clothes I can wear that don’t get sweat stains on them easily. I don’t have much money to spend on expensive deodorants. If anyone has read the book “Stop Sweating, and Start Living” by Mike Ramsey, please help me!

I have suffered from hyperhidrosis in my feet and hands for many years now and it really affects not only my personal life but also my work life. I am really wanting to look into getting the surgery but I don’t know where to start. I am from the Tulsa area but I don’t know what type of doctor to consult about gettingit. Any ideas?

I’m at my wits end! Not sure who to see anymore. Four months after I had my baby I got sick with laryngitis, fever, chills and all. I began sweating profusely ALL OVER my body shortly thereafter (I don’ really sweat from my feet or palms). I was nursing the baby at that time also. I quit nursing when the baby was six months so I could get some medical attention because my gynecologist wouldn’t prescribe anything harsh. He also thought I was just going through postpartum. Anyway, at six months I was given anti-depressant pills. Well, after a few months I quit taking them because it didn’t help the sweating at all. I saw another gynecologist; he put me on birth control pills, that didn’t help either. I’ve seen an endocrinologist; he told me he couldn’t help me because the MRI and the blood work all came out normal and found nothing wrong with me. He then said I needed to see a doctor who specializes in “hyperhidrosis” but he wasn’t sure that was the problem since I sweat all over my body. The blood work results for all doctors show I’m a healthy person; they also don’t show my situation is non-hormonal, non-menopausal and not the thyroid as well. The MRI was done on my head to check if it was my pituitary gland. I’m normal. I was kinda hoping something would show wrong so that one of the doctors could help me. I’ve had acupuncture done to me as well taking chinese herbal pills…did not help! I don’t know who else to see. I need someone who can help me and turn me away and say they can’t help me. Someone please help!
I also go through extreme chills immediately after I sweat. My body shivers and hands shake because I get so cold. I go through these sweats throughout the day and everyday. I am going now on my ninth month now. I am really tired of this.
I want to see a doctor who won’t turn me away anymore.
P.S. This is my 4th baby.

I have Hyperhidrosis of the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet. I was just wondering if the procedure hurts or has any side effects. Any information is greatly appreciated. Hyperhidrosis inhibits my social life and even the kind of shoes I wear!
