Modified Bier Block for Botox injections for excessive hand sweating (hyperhidrosis)

This is a Modified Bier Block developed by Dr. Perry Solomon for injecting Botox in the hands to treat excessive sweating (palmar hyperhidrosis). It is a safe office procedure that makes the injections pain free. Patients regain full use of their hands within 10 minutes of release of the tourniquet and are able to drive home. WIth over 13 years in specializing in treating patients with excessive sweating of the underarms, hands and feet I am very familiar with all your concerns and know what you are experiencing. I myself receive Botox injections for my underarm sweating as well. Please visit us at www.bridgesmedical.com or call 925-975-3353 for more information

@changingtheworldat17 Fortunately the 8 million people that suffer from excessive sweating do not find it “dumb” and are thankful that there is a treatment.

This is so dumb! Hand sweatiness? I had a brain tumor and get botox to loosen it up. This is zoo stupid!

i want to cure my sweaty palms bad!!! how much does botox cost. 2 questions does it really work? 2nd question i heard it messes with the signals on moving ur finger at a surden spped when ur off it. can that same effect happen to ur fingers on the long run with out being on botox?

That is a question I get from my patients quite often. The answer unfortunately is “it depends”. It is impossible to predict before hand which patient gets CS and how bad it will be. Everyone gets it some extent, some much worse then others.
It is a decision that needs to be made after doing a lot of research. The main point to consider is that the effects of the surgery are permanent and irreversible so due diligence is needed.

Great Vid, Doc, Although CS is something people may regret, isn’t ETS better than repetitive injections throughout one’s life?

  • TheBotoxdoctor says:

Endoscopic Thoracic Surgery (ETS) is an option to treat hand sweating. However, everyone who has this procedure has compensatory sweating (CS) afterwards to some degree. Since such a large part of the body doesn’t sweat anymore, the other parts need to sweat more to compensate. Some people get very little CS and some have worse sweating then before surgery, just in different places. Since the surgery is irreversible, discuss this with your surgeon as well as other complications.
