Sweaty palms also known as Palmer Hyperhidrosis is a condition which is caused by the overactive nervous system which is specific to the sweat glands in the palms. One of the simplest home remedies for sweaty palms is to apply baby powder on the hands. It will prevent sweating. Use of antiperspirants such as aluminum chlorohydrate on the palms will prevent perspiration and is effective in drying sweat. Try to stay calm and control your anxiety and stress level, this will also help to reduce sweating.
Tea bags are one of the most common home remedies for sweaty palms. You can either hold tea bags in the palms or apply tea bag solution on palms in order to reduce sweating. Or you can boil five tea bags and soak the hands in the solution once it cools down. This solution is one the best natural antiperspirant.
Schisandra is a Chinese herb which is basically used to treat diarrhea but can also be used to treat sweaty palms. Consume lot of fluids and keep your body hydrated since you are losing lot of fluids through sweat. Try drinking tomato juice everyday as it will keep your body cool.
You can even try taking zinc supplements in small quantities in order to reduce sweating of your palms. One of the effective home remedies is to drink sage tea which is rich in tannins. Tannins are natural astringent. Alcohol when used in right proportions helps in absorbing moisture and is one of the effective home remedies for sweaty palms.
Soaking hands in a bowl containing solution of baking soda (one to two cups) and water for twenty to thirty minutes every day will prove to be beneficial. Taking a bath in apple cider vinegar for not more than five minutes is also effective in treating the problem of sweaty palms. Eat a healthy diet and avoid consumption of excessive iodine, onion, oily foods, broccoli and asparagus. Using rosin bags can also prove to be beneficial for sweaty palms. All you need to do is buy rosin bags from the sports store and place it inside your right pocket. So whenever you need to shake hands with somebody just grab the rosin bag in your pocket. It will absorb excessive moisture.
Milk thistle is basically a natural herb which helps in cooling the liver and detoxifying it. Using this herb as a supplement can help in controlling excess sweating. Witch hazel is one of the best home remedies. Just take a cotton ball soaked with witch hazel extract and apply it on your palms. Try this procedure three times every week and see the results.
